We delivered and installed the black bear environmental enrichment device (EED) to ZooMiami on Sunday. Each piece of the EED was carried around the bears’ habitat and assembled near the public viewing area.
This EED has timers that the keepers can program so the bears (Laurel and Libby) have enrichment throughout the day. The EED will blow/scatter zoo approved bear snacks/treats into their habitat to encourage natural foraging behavior.
